Implant-Supported Dentures

Get Your Smile Back with Implant-Supported Dentures

What Are Implant-Supported Dentures?

Combining the benefits of dental implants with the convenience of dentures, implant dentures offer exceptional stability, improved chewing ability, and enhanced aesthetics. At The Exchange Dental Group, we offer implant-supported removable dentures and permanent implant dentures (also called full mouth dental implants).

Implant-Supported Removable Dentures

Implant-supported removable dentures offer a remarkable improvement over traditional dentures that rely on adhesives for stability. With implant-supported dentures, you can say goodbye to worries about slippage or discomfort while speaking, laughing, or eating.

By securely attaching to dental implants strategically placed in the jawbone, these dentures provide exceptional stability, ensuring a confident and worry-free smile. The implants act as anchors, preventing the dentures from shifting or moving out of place. This superior level of stability allows you to enjoy your favorite foods without restrictions and speak naturally, all while feeling confident in your smile.

Permanent Implant Dentures

For those seeking a permanent solution, permanent implant dentures offer an exceptional option. Utilizing advanced techniques such as the All-on-X 3i Implant system, these implant-supported dentures provide unparalleled stability and function. Unlike removable dentures, permanent implant dentures are fixed in place, eliminating the need for removal and reducing the risk of slipping or irritation.

We give your dentures a strong foundation that imitates the feel and function of natural teeth by anchoring them to multiple dental implants. The result is a permanent smile restoration that provides optimal comfort, improved chewing ability, and enhanced aesthetics. Say goodbye to the inconvenience and limitations of removable dentures and embrace the long-lasting benefits of permanent implant dentures.

Why Choose The Exchange Dental Group for Permanent Dentures?

Many general dentists provide prosthodontic services, but the majority don’t have an in-house periodontist & implantologist and an oral & maxillofacial surgeon on their team. We have actual specialists in our office, which means we are able to do every step in the process, from diagnosis to placing the implants to placing the permanent denture, right here in our office, and we won’t have to refer you out even if your case is complex. We are also able to offer IV sedation for oral surgery, if needed.

At our practice, we use a CT scanner to get a full understanding to determine the best placement of the implants. We will create a surgical guide so the actual placement of each implant in the patient’s jaw is exactly where it needs to be. If there isn’t enough bone initially to support implants, we can perform bone grafts and sinus lifts. We also have expertise in cosmetic dentistry, which results in beautiful outcomes with permanent dentures. Our patients don’t just regain the function of their natural teeth, but also the beautiful appearance!

Comparing Implant-Supported Denture Options

How will you know which implant-supported dentures option is best for your situation? Here are some of the pros and cons of each type:

  • Removable implant-supported dentures combine the benefits of dental implants with the convenience of removable dentures. They offer improved stability but may require occasional adjustments or relines. The cost is typically high due to the implant placement procedure.
  • Permanent implant-supported dentures, also known as All-on-X, provide the highest level of stability and function. They are securely fixed to dental implants, offering exceptional chewing ability and a natural-looking smile. Although the initial cost is high, they provide long-term durability and cost savings.

While removable implant-supported dentures have a higher initial cost than traditional dentures, they offer better stability. Implant-supported dentures eliminate ongoing costs such as adhesives, adjustments, and relines. They provide a fixed, long-lasting solution, potentially saving costs compared to doing nothing and facing further complications. Implant dentures are an investment in oral health and can offer a durable and cost-effective solution for years to come.

Choosing implant-supported dentures is also better than leaving missing teeth untreated, because they provide benefits such as preserving bone health, preventing teeth shifting, restoring chewing function and speech, boosting self-confidence, and offering long-term cost savings. Untreated missing teeth only cause more problems in the long run, both of the monetary variety and to quality of life.

Am I a Candidate for Denture Implants?

An ideal candidate for implant-supported dentures should have sufficient jawbone density (though we can help with that), good oral health with minimal gum disease, a commitment to oral hygiene, be a non-smoker or willing to quit smoking, and be in overall good health. They should have realistic expectations about the treatment process and outcomes, as well as a commitment to follow-up care. Schedule a consultation to determine the best denture option that suits your needs and budget.
